Calling all ARP leads and teachers! Do you want to meet with other ARP staff to celebrate the good practice in our settings. Do you want to discuss areas of concerns in a safe space? Join us for our joint ARP network. Together we can share ideas and plan what we want from our professional community.

In this session, you will have the opportunity to see the principles covered in the morning session in practice.

The Primary Science Network will support subject leaders to develop in their role through subject-specific training, regular updates, and opportunities to share best practice.

The SCERTS practice principles are a good practice guide for implementing the SCERTS framework into any setting. This session will focus on managing transitions, task engagement and enabling environments.

The ‘Good Autism Practice’ training has been developed by the AET to support all practitioners working with children and young people on the autism spectrum in mainstream and specialist settings to develop their practice.

The Understanding Good Autism Practice and the AET Frameworks for Leaders module is part of the Suite of Resources for Leaders. It has been compiled for leaders and leadership teams within education settings to embed culture change across their provision and support them on their journey to become an outstanding and inclusive setting. The resources will support leaders to fully embed the 8 principles of good autism practice as outlined in the Good Autism Practice Report.

New to Governance – a session for new governors providing the knowledge, understanding and skills to undertake roles effectively.

Following on from the highly successful A Vision for Inclusion conference in March 2023, our sixth annual conference will explore the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as a framework for strengthening universal provision and high quality first teaching to support the inclusion of all learners in all educational settings.

This is the first RSJ Network for the 2024 - 25 Academic year. This event will be a relaunch of the RSJ work and an opportunity to begin a year of working more collaboratively with other schools. Greg will advise on removing a child’s name from the roll of a school, allocations who don’t attend, Children Missing Education (CME) and Elective Home Education (EHE). With guest speaker, Kathryn Webb, this session promotes an understanding of how trauma inside and outside of school can affect a child’s ability to engage in education, a parent to support their child to attend and the damage us as professionals can do when we do not walk in the shoes of those affected.

The school census is the department’s primary source of administrative data about pupils attending schools in England. The Autumn school census will be used to fund the schools block of the dedicated schools grant, 16-19 funding allocations, universal infant free school meals and the pupil premium. During this session will highlight all key information and dates for the Spring Census.

This session will focus on how to address and improve punctuality across the school. We will look at the impact of punctuality on a child’s learning, tracking, and coding. Moving on to unauthorised absences and leave of absences, we will explore how to tackle difficult conversations. As part of this, each ARP will have the opportunity to facilitate a session where they can share insights with primary schools (and each other) regarding the offerings of the ARP and guide primary SENCos/Inclusion Leads on the most suitable ARP placements for their pupil' next school placement.
